Privacy Policy
Last updated: this policy is maintained by Greenworkz LLC and describes how this website handles personal information.
The short version
Greenworkz collects the minimum needed to make and ship your order, or to quote your project. Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared beyond the services listed below, which are the ones needed to run the shop.
What is collected
When you place an order: your name, email, phone (if given), shipping and billing address, what you ordered, and any personalization details you supplied.
When you request a custom project: your contact details, the project description, and any reference files you upload.
When you contact the shop or subscribe: your name and email, and the content of your message.
Automatically: your IP address and browser user agent get recorded with form submissions. That is used for rate limiting and spam prevention. It is not used for tracking or advertising.
What is NOT collected
Card details. Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers, expiry dates and security codes go straight from your browser to Stripe. They never reach Greenworkz servers, databases or logs. Greenworkz only ever sees the card brand and the last four digits, which are there for receipts and support.
There is no advertising network, no third-party analytics script, and no cross-site tracking on this site.
Cookies
This site sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies:
- a cart cookie, so your basket survives between visits
- a CSRF token, which protects forms against cross site attacks
- an admin session cookie, only used when staff sign in to the back office
No advertising or analytics cookies are set.
Who else sees your data
- Stripe, for payment processing. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
- The email provider configured for this store, to deliver order confirmations, quotes and replies.
- The file storage provider configured for this store, to hold product photography and any reference files you upload.
That is the full list. Your information is not sold, rented or shared for marketing.
How long it is kept
Order and quote records are kept as long as warranty, tax and accounting need them. Contact messages and custom project requests are kept while they are still relevant to the work. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any newsletter.
- Ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email thegreenegnieer@proton.me.
- Deletion requests are honored except where a record has to be kept for tax or legal reasons.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords for staff accounts are hashed and never stored in readable form. Uploaded files are validated and size limited. Admin actions are logged.
No system is perfectly secure. This one was built with the assumptions of a real production shop rather than a template.
